Summer is gone......

Well I can't believe Alie is already back in school! Summer has flown by this year but I have to say I'm glad because I'm definitly not a heat person. Well, whats new lets see.... We went to Canada this last August for my Grandpa's 80th birthday party. It was a lot of fun to see all of my family again since it's been two years since my last visit.

My cousin, Heather, took some amazing pictures of Alie and I. She is so very talented! Thanks Heather. Alie is doing really well. She LOVES school so much and I'm so glad she gets to go 3 days a week this year. She is the light of my life! Without her I don't know if I would have been able to get through these last

two years. I still have hard days without my Shay. Shay was an amazing man. He was such a great father and husband and I miss him more and more everyday. I miss him coming through the front door and taking Alie out of my arms and watching Alie look at her daddy and fall in love with him all over again. It made me fall in love more and more with my family. I can't wait for the day that I can be with my husband again, I love you Shay Kai!
Well the fair is just around the corner and I'm excited to go. I look forward to all the good eats and taking Alie on the rides. She is going to love it! She is so obsessed with clothes and shoes and all the girly stuff right now. She is such a girl and I don't know how I got stuck with a girly girl! She probably got that from her Auntie Lucie and I love it cause I get to see Lucie and Shay through her each and every day. She is so much like her daddy it's not even funny. She is so hard headed and independent. She looks just like her daddy and I wouldn't have it any other way. It eases my pain to look at her and see him. It is such a comfort to me.
Well I hope everyone else is doing great and I look forward to seeing you all next week at the EISF. hahah YAY!

Summer Fun

I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything but I'm glad my mom still posts picture of us on her blog. It started out to be a great summer. Alie loves to be outside and LOVES the water! She spent three days in Lava with Grandma Jensen and her cousins hardly ever out of the water. She came home looking like a Mexican.

Then on my sister, Cyndi's, birthday she was playing with her cousins outside and fell from the top of the slide onto her right arm and broke her wrist. Oh fun!

Okay I will try!

Well I talked with my good friend Hailey today and she said I need to start this thing so here we go! Well everything my mom posted is true! I've had a pretty rough go for only being 23 but I'm trying to start over and I want to thank all of you who have helped out with that! My little Alie is going to go with me next month! She is now in school and it's so crazy putting her on the bus. She cries a little everytime but LOVES her school and her teachers!

Alie is my life! Without her I don't know if I would have ever survived the death of my husband, Shay. I miss him everyday but she is so much like him and looks JUST like him that I'm reminded of him everyday! I also lost my little sister in-law Lucie in a car accident last summer. She was a ray of sunshine and Alie loved her as much as she possible could.

She also looks like her Aunt Lucie and LOVES to dance just like she did. I sure did love my life two years ago and I miss my little home that we made together in Pingree but I'm learning to love my life now and am so grateful to my sisters Brooke and Cyndi who have helped me SO much. I love you both so much.

Thank you Brittany for coming home to be with me right after Shay died and staying with me all that time. You don't know how much that meant to me. Without you coming here and your support I also don't know if I would have made it, I love you. Thank you for being a big part of my family!

To my mother who would do anything for me - I love you so much. You are my rock! Alie loves you so much and we will miss you when we move, I love you mom!

To all my family - Thanks you guys. You are amazing. The love and prayers I felt and continue to feel is amazing, thanks! Well . . . I think I'm done for now. Since I'm bawling I'll close but promise to write more later!!

Here's To You

Since this is the second site that I've started up for Amy I'm hoping that she will put something on here and keep it as a sort of journal. She just got back from Phoenix and Mexico and had a great time so hopefully she'll post some pictures from that vacation.

Amy is the fourth of four children with two older sisters and one brother. She graduated from Snake River High School and has attended Idaho State University off and on. She married Shay Kai Jensen on August 3, 2005 who later passed away on August 1, 2007. Amy burried her loving husband on their second wedding anniversary. Amy and Shay were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Alie Kae, who was born premature and weighed only 4 lbs. 5 oz. They later found out that Alie is deaf. She is amazing and one week before her first birthday, had surgery for a cochlear implant. She can hear when she wears it but likes to take it off and hide it from all of us. Her little fingers sign faster than you could possible believe. She is truly amazing.

Amy is blessed to have her in her life but continues to struggle with missing Shay. She has some great friends who love her and watch out for her. Amy loves being a mom and Alie definately loves her mommy. They are a joy to be around.

Alie is truly the most beautiful little girl in the world so it would be nice if she would post some more pictures of her from time to time. What can I say, she's my baby and I'd do almost anything for her. And Alie, well it goes without saying. She's got me wrapped around her little finger so tight I squeek!

Now, it's all yours Amy. Please don't disappoint me by letting me be the only contributer to this blog. Hope to hear from you soon. . .

With much love,
Your Mom
